Aim of this session
The aim of the session is to provide learners with knowledge to assist with their roles and responsibilities regarding Diabetes Awareness.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
  1. Understand what diabetes is and its prevalence in the UK.
  2. Know the cause of diabetes, the symptoms and how it is diagnosed.
  3. Know what the main types of diabetes are.
  4. Understand how diabetes is treated and how it can be prevented.
  5. Have an awareness of complications that can be caused through diabetes.
  6. Understand the importance of supporting people with a diabetes.
  7. Implement diabetes awareness measures in the workplace.
