Due to the immense difficulties encountered in meeting our statutory obligation to provide effective communication training, this training session has been prepared to ensure that all staff are fully up-to-date with regard to their responsibilities.

Aim of the session:
The aim of the sessions is to inform care workers about effective communication and the way issues may be addressed.
​At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
  1. Describe the importance of effective communication at work
  2. Explain how to meet the communication and language needs, wishes and preferences of individuals
  3. Explain how to promote effective communication
  4. Describe the principles and practices relating to confidentiality
  5. Explain the importance of handling information correctly
