Due to the immense difficulties encountered Session in meeting our statutory obligation to provide epilepsy awareness training, this training session has been prepared to ensure that all staff are fully up to date regarding their responsibilities.

Aim of this course
The aim of the session is to provide learners with knowledge to assist with their roles and responsibilities regarding Epilepsy Awareness.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Understand what epilepsy is and its prevalence in the UK

Know the cause of epilepsy, the symptoms and how it is diagnosed

Know what a seizure is and the main types

Understand how epilepsy is treated

Have an awareness of the common epilepsy drugs and their side effects

Understand the importance of people with an epilepsy condition staying safe

Implement epilepsy awareness measures in the workplace
